Bethesda roadmap: more Fallout is coming, Starfield support continues, but Elder Scrolls VI is the main priority

Bethesda Game Studios have given a rare update into their roadmap of what they’re working on, and it sounds like quite exciting news. Seems like there’s going to be a lot to look forward to in a few years time – and I’m excited to see what they eventually release.

Why are they giving such an update? Most likely due to all the Xbox layoffs that affected a lot of studios and people. There’s been a lot of speculation and misinformation floating around. So this is their attempt to calm the waters a little.

Here’s an easy breakdown of what they said.

Starfield – Support continues, they’re planning to keep expanding it with “new stories, targeted gameplay improvements, and additional updates, while preparing for the launch of new Starborn content next year”.

Fallout – Fallout 5 is their “long-range destination” that’s currently in pre-production and they have “multiple Fallout projects in active development right now”. They’re working with Obsidian Entertainment on a “new Fallout project”.

Fallout 76 – A major expansion is planned for 2027.

Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas – Remasters are coming but they’re not giving any dates

Fallout Shelter – New Seasons are coming, along with an “unscripted Fallout Shelter television project” in the works.

The Elder Scrolls Online – They said their teams across Bethesda / ZeniMax Online Studios will come closer together to “deliver incredible new experiences for The Elder Scrolls Online”.

The Elder Scrolls VI – This is their primary focus right now with “the majority of our team currently working on the next chapter of the franchise”.
