Originally developed for the AMD BC250 compact motherboard built around AMD’s Cyan Skillfish accelerated processing unit (APU), it is also available for generic 64-bit personal computers. SkillFishOS ships with Steam, EmuDeck, ES-DE, Heroic and Proton gaming clients pre-installed. It also includes a tailored Linux kernel, pre-configured Btrfs snapshots, a steampunk-themed dark desktop, Unsloth Studio application designed to run and export open-source artificial intelligence (AI) models, and a remote control option. Besides gaming, the distribution is also suitable for emulation work, local AI and general desktop use.
