Last night was the Gamescom Opening Night Live event and there was quite a number of interesting games being announced and shown off. The full event is available on YouTube but below I’ve rounded-up the main interesting stuff to save you some time.
In my opinion, this is one of the best events they’ve done with some really interesting games being shown off. Everything below is in no particular order.
ONTOS
A sci-fi mystery set on the repurposed moon hotel Samsara. Uncover cryptic experiments, face unsettling encounters, and piece together a mind-bending narrative. DUST: Origins

NO LAW

An open-world action adventure RPG centred around detective mysteries.
Epic Games Store (no Steam release it seems). Hopefully that Epic Store really will come to Linux soon.
Others to note below are titles we believe will likely be blocked on SteamOS / Linux due to anti-cheat. We’ll keep an eye on them closer to the release date to see.
There was also PUBG: DED.NET, a new multi-player FPS with roguelite elements set in 1990’s Cascadia, but like with the original PUBG.
Additionally Project ZETA is another competitive online third-person multi-team tactical arena game.
A team-based survival FPS Like or Die was also announced.
A new open-world creature collecting game Roco Kingdom.
Co-op third-person PvE shooter using weaponized power tools and mad-science gadgets Exterminauts.
